Salah satu upaya masyarakat dan pemerintah untuk menanggulangi kenakalan
remaja pada waktu itu (1960) membuat proyek percontohan Karang Taruna, hingga
saat ini Karang Taruna dijadikan sebagai wadah pembinaan dan pengembangan
generasi muda.
Seiring dengan waktu yang berjalan melalui instansi pemerintah
(Kementerian Sosial) Karang Taruna Provinsi DKI Jakarta yang berjumlah sekitar
tiga ribuan tersebut perlu diberdayakan melalui Usaha Ekonomi Produktif
Dari hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat diperoleh gambaran bahwa UEP
Karang Taruna berada dalam kondisi kurang sehat karena banyak tantangan yang
dihadapi terutama manajemen pengelolaannya dan pelayanan terhadap pelanggan
yang kurang memuaskan.
Tindakan korektif yang perlu diambil agar membawa perubahan yang
signifikan adalah meningkatkan efektifitas dan kinerja dengan perbaikan pengelo
laan UEP Karang Taruna melalui pendidikan dan pelatihan kewirausahaan ,
sedangkan tindakan yang perlu dilakukan untuk membawa perubahan yang
signifikan terhadap citra UEP Karang Taruna adalah memberdayakan keberadaannya
seoptimal mungkin, baik dari Pemda maupun dari masyarakat.

This non-causal research was conducted towards 217 elementary school
teachers and 141 respondents in Central Jakarta. The data gathering process
was done using a questionnaire with a Likert scale model.
The result of this research shows that: First, there is a positive relationsip
between students’ reading interest (X1) and education quality (Y) with the
regression equation Ŷ = 116,25 + 0,28X1with a correlation coefficient value of
0,320 and a coefficient of determiniation value of 0,102 = 10,2% significant
towards α = 0,05, meaning that there is a relationship between student’s
reading interest and education quality. The other 10,2% is influenced by other
variables. Second, there is a positif relationship between study motivation (X2)
and education quality with the regression equation Ŷ = 114,26 + 0,38X2, with
a correlation coefficient value of 0,225 and a coefficient of determinitation
value of 0,05 = 5% significant towards α = 0,05, meaning that there is a
relationship between study motivation and education quality. The other 5% is
influenced by other variables. Third, there is a positive relationship between
eduation quality based on interest in reading and study motivation with the
regression equationŶ = 85,238 + 0,251X1 + 0,277X2 with a correlation
coefficient value of 0,207 and a coefficient of determination value 0,129 =
12,9%, meaning that there is a relationship between students’ interest in
reading and study motivation combined with education quality as large as
12,9% while the rest is influenced by other variables.

The fostering of inclusive schools in Indonesia has
yet to be considered optimal in helping children with special
needs in reaching a better future. Various reasons have been
stated by schools that are designated as inclusive schools. In
Jakarta, there are 164 inclusive schools spread over five
regions. Complaints thrown by schools that were studied in
this research include inadequate facilities and infrastructure,
human resources that are unable to fulfill requirements, lack
of a dedicated supervising teacher, low public participation
number from children with special needs, and understanding
and attitude from parents and the public which were not
conducive towards children with special needs. These are
phenomenal challenges.
From various perspectives of inclusive schools, there are
problems that indicate the challenges which can hamper the
execution of inclusive education in Indonesia. The focuses of
this research are the management of inclusive schools, the
learning process, education strategy, the profile of inclusive
students, and background of parents of children with special
needs.

The perspective of inclusive school in Jakarta province is considered not too
optimal in helping children with special needs to reach a better future. The various reason
stated by the chosen school that was chosen based on the decision of the Provincial
Education Depart ment’s Special Capital Region Jakarta No. 623/2011 about the names of
chosen schools that are going to be an inclusive school in 2011 which are 164 schools of
them in five different regions in Jakarta. The complaint that was brought up from 17
schools surveyed are infrastructure is inadequate, lack of human resources to meet the
requirements as a special tutor, low gross enrollment rate for children with special needs
and understanding of the unfavorable attitude of the parents and community to children
with special needs.

This research has an insight into the long term ahead. Not only to develop the education
strategy that works more effective than the previous strategy in the Inclusive schools so
that the output and the input more clearly to describe whether the children with special
needs could go to the school or not, but also to find out the successful of inclusive
schools in helping the children with special needs to reach a better future and to take their
place in the real social life in order to get a job. The focus of this research are the
management of the inclusive school itself, the process of learning in the school, the
education strategy, the profile of the student who needs special treatment and their
parents. The Research used qualitative method, a case study of inclusive school in south
Jakarta and center Jakarta with the phenomenological paradigm, snowball sampling and
also in-depth interview.

This research offers some solutions of the problem. They are (1) the improving
quality of education services for children with special needs through the development of
modification curriculum and the given of special tutor (2) the introduction stage strategy
(3) the strategy development through the support and participation of stakeholders (4) the
acculturation strategy which is consistently and systematically executed inherent in
people’s lives.

Key Factors That Trigger People to Support Street Children in Indonesia

This study has an attempt to elaborate some factors affecting the
establishment of “free schools” by community participant, which are intended to
serve for street children and poor children (marginal children) in urban areas who do
not have access to get proper education on account of economic and social issues.
Qualitative approach was employed by using Miles and Hubberman model analysis to
analyze the data. The data were taken from three schools (Sekolah Darurat Kartini,
Sekolah Master and Sekolah Himmata), which are situated in Jakarta and Depok City.
Participant observation, face-to-face interviews, documentary research studies,
Internet online articles and literature reviews were used in data collection process.
Some key respondents to obtain the data are the founders of schools, social
guardians, pupils, parents and alumni. As a key instrument, the researcher also took
part in the Sekolah Darurat Kartini’s activities for around two years from the end of
2011 until the middle of 2013. The research findings have revealed that the key
factors of such schools’ establishment are altruism, determination and selfactualization
are grouped into internal factors while parent’s upbringing, economic,
social and educational background, wide communication network are grouped into
external factors. Even though these factors are interrelated and interwoven
holistically. Altruism is the most triggering primary factor what make the founders of
the schools act and behave differently for the sake of other people’s future,
particularly to street children. As future generations, street children have right to
obtain access for education equally. To sum up, the provision and establishment of
such schools bring a greatest impact to students’ development and at the end it
benefits the nation.

Export trade balance, oil and non-oil imports, Indonesia is in an active state or economy to prosper, while the
results of multiple regression analysis showed that the export of non oil/gas, non oil/gas import, oil and gas
imports and economic growth positive effect on the labor force participation rate, which means every increased
four variables also increased labor force participation rate, while oil and gas exports have negative effect
means that any increased export of oil and gas resulting in a decline in labor force participation rates and
significant effect of all the variables of the labor force participation rate in Indonesia. Multiple correlation
coefficients obtained r = 0.998 shows the effect of variable export of non oil/gas, non oil/gas import, export of
oil and gas, oil and gas imports, economic growth together very strong and the coefficient of determination
together the five variables can be R = 0.996 shows the percentage contribution of influence together of 99%
means that only 0.01% contribution of other variables influence the level of labor force participation in
Indonesia. It can be concluded that the development of oil and gas trade and non-oil and gas in Indonesia still
need cooperation between individual communities, private sector, civil society and government in an effort to
increase trade in Indonesia, because it is very big influence on the labor force participation rate that could
lower the unemployment rate and can automatically reducing poverty, because unemployment and poverty in
Indonesia is still high when compared with some other countries in the world.

TERNATE HISTORICAL SITE AS AN OBJECT BASED EDUCATION FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

This study aims to classify the historical sites of Ternate based on the timeliness of its existence. This study uses a critical qualitative historical approach and is conducted in several locations related to the history of Ternate. Data relating to the physical facts of Ternate history sites, then the location of research in the Ternate region of North Maluku. Data were collected from several findings and poured in filed notes. Then do the sorting and grouping to found description. Data were analyzed using critical historical analysis techniques. The Ternate history sites identified in this research consist of Ternate Museum of Ternate, Ternate Great Mosque, Kastela Fortress, Toluko Fortress, Kalamata Fortress, Oranje Bull, and Nala Fortress. Seven sites are conditions vary and still require government intervention to be used as an object of tourism which can then become an economic power for the people of Ternate. With the Education For Sustainable Development (EDS) approach, historical site development takes care of the needs and involves the community directly with full results for the benefit of the people of Ternate and the wider Indonesian community.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantatif yang menggunakan metode deskriptif
analitis. Dalam hal ini dengan cara mendeskripsikan Analisis Determinasi Pemahaman
Pemilihan Rekening Bank Syariah Pada Pengurus Masjid di DKI Jakarta. Rendahnya
pemahaman pengurus Takmir Masjid akan pemahaman produk bank syariah apalagi
kemanfaatan rekening bank syariah bagi perekonomian umat. Untuk itu perbankan
syariah harus terus melakukan sosialisasi lebih gencar lagi lewat media yang lebih
populer di pengurus Takmir Masjid. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa
kepemilikan rekening dalam bank syariah dari berasal dari pengurus/lembaga/takmir
masjid sebesar 55,1 persen. Sedangkan rekening syariah yang dimiliki pribadi sebesar
50 persen. Berbeda sedikit dengan yang dikelola dengan menggunakan nama
pengurus/lembaga/takmir.

NILAI MORAL DALAM ANTOLOGI CERPEN FILOSOFI KOPI DAN IMPLIKASINYA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN SASTRA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifi kasi dan menemukan nilai-nilai moral yang terkandung dalam antologi cerpen Filosofi Kopi melalui kajian hermeneutik serta implikasinya dalam pembelajaran sastra di SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik analisis isi. Nilai moral yang diteliti dibatasi pada nilai positif dalam antologi cerpen Filosofi Kopi. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yakni antologi cerpen Filosofi Kopi karya Dewi Lestari yang berisi 18 cerita yang terdiri 8 cerita pendek dan 10 prosa liris, tetapi yang diteliti hanya 8 cerita pendek. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang telah dilakukan terhadap delapan cerpen, dapat disimpulkan bahwa cerpen-cerpen karya Dewi Lestari mengandung nilai nilai moral positif yang meliputi kejujuran, bertanggung jawab, kesetiaan, sopan santun, hati nurani, rendah hati, dan konsekuen. Implikasi hasil penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran sastra di sekolah dengan menggunakan beberapa judul cerpen dalam antologi cerpen Filosofi Kopi karya Dewi Lestari sebagai sumber pembelajaran berpotensi menghasilkan siswa yang mempunyai nilai-nilai moral yang baik.

The Relation Governance University and Professional lecturer, with service quality of
education. The study aims is for to know the ralation governance university and professional lecturer
with service quality of education. This research was conducted in correlational technique method, with
minimun sample from the whole population to be amount of 60 lecturer, teaching in graduate school
Uhamka in Jakarta. The data obtained from the spread of questionnaires and learn some documentation.
The analysis data to use correlation analysis, and multiple regression and simple regression. The results
show (1) there are relationships positive and significantly between governance university with service
quality of education; (2) there are relationships positive and significantly between professional lecturer
with service quality of education; (3) there are relationships positive and significantly between
governance university and professional lecturer in the same joint with service quality of education. The
research concludes that, to strengthen the quality of service of education, the governance university and
professional lecturer must be to do with correctly and professional more enhanced, and a serious
attention.
