Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui respon mahasiswa terhadap mata kuliah
terintegrasi Al-Islami Kemuhammadiyahan dan penghayatan nilai-nilai agama Islam di lingkungan
Pascasarjana UHAMKA.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif analitik, dengan fokus penelitian mahasiswa
semester 2 dan semester 3 dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 60 mahasiswa dari tiga kelas di Sekolah
Pascasarjana UHAMKA.
Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat diberikan makna bahwa (1) berdasarkan analisis Bi Plot respon mahasiswa di
kelas Landasan Ilmu Pendidikan lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas Evaluasi Program dan kelas
Manajemen Pendidikan ; (2) dari hasil wawancara dengan mahasiswa di tiga kelas tersebut, lebih banyak
merespon dan tanggap terhadap pertanyaan adalah kelas Landasan Ilmu Pendidikan dan lebih banyak
menghayati nilai-nilai agama islam ditandai dengan akhlaqul karimah para mahasiswa; (3) Kelas Landasan
Ilmu Pendidikan sangat merespon positif budaya organisasi pascasarjana UHAMKA yang bernuansa agama
Islam.

MASALAH KEBIJAKAN DI DALAM MEMILIH SALURAN
DISTRIBUSI BARANG KONVENIEN. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan
kebijakan memilih saluran distribusi yang tepat bagi penyaluran baran-barang konvenien dari
produsen sampai kepada konsumen, supaya dapat mendorong kelancaran penjualan sehingga
diharapkan dapat mengurangi atau meniadakan pemborosan, guna mencapai effisiensi yang
lebih besar. Berdasarkan analisis dengan menggunakan metode nilai faktor tertimbang dan
investasi saluran distribusi, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Kebijakan dengan
menggunakan strategi distribusi 1 nilai total 0,570; (2) Kebijakan dengan menggunakan
strategi distribusi 2 nilai total sebesar 0,420, (3) Kebijakan dengan menggunakan strategi 3
nilai total sebesar 0,405, dan (4) Kebijakan dengan menggunakan strategi 4 nilai total sebesar
0,635, serta (5) Kebijakan dengan menggunakan strategi ke-5 nilai total sebesar 0,330.
Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kebijakan yang diterapkan adalah dengan strategi ke 4
yang dianggap paling efektif .

Kelompok Usaha Bersama merupakan program Top-Down yang diciptakan
dari Kementerian Sosial sebagai upaya mempercepat penghapusan kemiskinan
bersamaan dengan diluncurkannya program BLPS (Bantuan Langsung
Pemberdayaan Sosial), program pemberdayaan ini tidak berjalan mulus sesuai
harapan sebagai program pendidikan, pembimbingan, dan pengarahan kepada
keluarga fakir miskin untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dan pendapatan serta
kesejahteraannya.Berdasarkan hal tersebut dengan menggunakan penelitian
deskriptif eksploratif dan survey lapangan dilakukan studi peningkatan efektifitas,
kinerja, mutu dan kepuasan pelanggan pada Kelompok Usaha Bersama di Wilayah
Kota Administrasi Jakarta Selatan.
Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh gambaran bahwa KUBE berada dalam kondisi
tidak sehat karena banyak tantangan yang dihadapi terutama manajemen pengelolaan
nya dan pelayanan terhadap pelanggan yang kurang memuaskan.
Tindakan perbaikan yang perlu diambil agar membawa perubahan yang
signifikan adalah meningkatkan efektifitas dan kinerja dengan perbaikan pengelo
laan KUBE melalui pendidikan dan pelatihan kewirausahaan , sedangkan tindakan
yang perlu dilakukan untuk membawa perubahan yang signifikan terhadap mutu dan
kepuasan pelanggan adalah melalui pelayanan prima (Better, faster,cheaper,newer,
and more simple).

Salah satu upaya masyarakat dan pemerintah untuk menanggulangi kenakalan
remaja pada waktu itu (1960) membuat proyek percontohan Karang Taruna, hingga
saat ini Karang Taruna dijadikan sebagai wadah pembinaan dan pengembangan
generasi muda.
Seiring dengan waktu yang berjalan melalui instansi pemerintah
(Kementerian Sosial) Karang Taruna Provinsi DKI Jakarta yang berjumlah sekitar
tiga ribuan tersebut perlu diberdayakan melalui Usaha Ekonomi Produktif
Dari hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat diperoleh gambaran bahwa UEP
Karang Taruna berada dalam kondisi kurang sehat karena banyak tantangan yang
dihadapi terutama manajemen pengelolaannya dan pelayanan terhadap pelanggan
yang kurang memuaskan.
Tindakan korektif yang perlu diambil agar membawa perubahan yang
signifikan adalah meningkatkan efektifitas dan kinerja dengan perbaikan pengelo
laan UEP Karang Taruna melalui pendidikan dan pelatihan kewirausahaan ,
sedangkan tindakan yang perlu dilakukan untuk membawa perubahan yang
signifikan terhadap citra UEP Karang Taruna adalah memberdayakan keberadaannya
seoptimal mungkin, baik dari Pemda maupun dari masyarakat.

This non-causal research was conducted towards 217 elementary school
teachers and 141 respondents in Central Jakarta. The data gathering process
was done using a questionnaire with a Likert scale model.
The result of this research shows that: First, there is a positive relationsip
between students’ reading interest (X1) and education quality (Y) with the
regression equation Ŷ = 116,25 + 0,28X1with a correlation coefficient value of
0,320 and a coefficient of determiniation value of 0,102 = 10,2% significant
towards α = 0,05, meaning that there is a relationship between student’s
reading interest and education quality. The other 10,2% is influenced by other
variables. Second, there is a positif relationship between study motivation (X2)
and education quality with the regression equation Ŷ = 114,26 + 0,38X2, with
a correlation coefficient value of 0,225 and a coefficient of determinitation
value of 0,05 = 5% significant towards α = 0,05, meaning that there is a
relationship between study motivation and education quality. The other 5% is
influenced by other variables. Third, there is a positive relationship between
eduation quality based on interest in reading and study motivation with the
regression equationŶ = 85,238 + 0,251X1 + 0,277X2 with a correlation
coefficient value of 0,207 and a coefficient of determination value 0,129 =
12,9%, meaning that there is a relationship between students’ interest in
reading and study motivation combined with education quality as large as
12,9% while the rest is influenced by other variables.

The fostering of inclusive schools in Indonesia has
yet to be considered optimal in helping children with special
needs in reaching a better future. Various reasons have been
stated by schools that are designated as inclusive schools. In
Jakarta, there are 164 inclusive schools spread over five
regions. Complaints thrown by schools that were studied in
this research include inadequate facilities and infrastructure,
human resources that are unable to fulfill requirements, lack
of a dedicated supervising teacher, low public participation
number from children with special needs, and understanding
and attitude from parents and the public which were not
conducive towards children with special needs. These are
phenomenal challenges.
From various perspectives of inclusive schools, there are
problems that indicate the challenges which can hamper the
execution of inclusive education in Indonesia. The focuses of
this research are the management of inclusive schools, the
learning process, education strategy, the profile of inclusive
students, and background of parents of children with special
needs.

The perspective of inclusive school in Jakarta province is considered not too
optimal in helping children with special needs to reach a better future. The various reason
stated by the chosen school that was chosen based on the decision of the Provincial
Education Depart ment’s Special Capital Region Jakarta No. 623/2011 about the names of
chosen schools that are going to be an inclusive school in 2011 which are 164 schools of
them in five different regions in Jakarta. The complaint that was brought up from 17
schools surveyed are infrastructure is inadequate, lack of human resources to meet the
requirements as a special tutor, low gross enrollment rate for children with special needs
and understanding of the unfavorable attitude of the parents and community to children
with special needs.

This research has an insight into the long term ahead. Not only to develop the education
strategy that works more effective than the previous strategy in the Inclusive schools so
that the output and the input more clearly to describe whether the children with special
needs could go to the school or not, but also to find out the successful of inclusive
schools in helping the children with special needs to reach a better future and to take their
place in the real social life in order to get a job. The focus of this research are the
management of the inclusive school itself, the process of learning in the school, the
education strategy, the profile of the student who needs special treatment and their
parents. The Research used qualitative method, a case study of inclusive school in south
Jakarta and center Jakarta with the phenomenological paradigm, snowball sampling and
also in-depth interview.

This research offers some solutions of the problem. They are (1) the improving
quality of education services for children with special needs through the development of
modification curriculum and the given of special tutor (2) the introduction stage strategy
(3) the strategy development through the support and participation of stakeholders (4) the
acculturation strategy which is consistently and systematically executed inherent in
people’s lives.

Key Factors That Trigger People to Support Street Children in Indonesia

This study has an attempt to elaborate some factors affecting the
establishment of “free schools” by community participant, which are intended to
serve for street children and poor children (marginal children) in urban areas who do
not have access to get proper education on account of economic and social issues.
Qualitative approach was employed by using Miles and Hubberman model analysis to
analyze the data. The data were taken from three schools (Sekolah Darurat Kartini,
Sekolah Master and Sekolah Himmata), which are situated in Jakarta and Depok City.
Participant observation, face-to-face interviews, documentary research studies,
Internet online articles and literature reviews were used in data collection process.
Some key respondents to obtain the data are the founders of schools, social
guardians, pupils, parents and alumni. As a key instrument, the researcher also took
part in the Sekolah Darurat Kartini’s activities for around two years from the end of
2011 until the middle of 2013. The research findings have revealed that the key
factors of such schools’ establishment are altruism, determination and selfactualization
are grouped into internal factors while parent’s upbringing, economic,
social and educational background, wide communication network are grouped into
external factors. Even though these factors are interrelated and interwoven
holistically. Altruism is the most triggering primary factor what make the founders of
the schools act and behave differently for the sake of other people’s future,
particularly to street children. As future generations, street children have right to
obtain access for education equally. To sum up, the provision and establishment of
such schools bring a greatest impact to students’ development and at the end it
benefits the nation.

This design-based research is part of three-year national projects examining the
incorporation of local wisdom in a character-based education in primary school contexts.
Specifically, the present study addresses two research questions: 1) what are local wisdoms of
Betawi ethnic feasible to be incorporated in character based curriculum in primary school contexts,
2) what are potential classroom instruction methods for such a local wisdom integrated
curriculum. To this end, I worked with historian, educational experts and practitioners. Multiple
data collection methods were employed, including documents study, interview, survey, focus group
discussion and observation. The collected data were analysed both qualitatively and quantitatively.
This study has highlighted several beliefs, values and local wisdom from Betawi culture feasible for
integration within classroom instruction. More importantly, the study has discussed an alternative
instructional method that facilitated the incorporation of the beliefs, values and local wisdom from
Betawi culture in classroom context.

Socio-Economics of Childhood Pulmonary Tuberculosis with Adult Tuberculosis Household Contacts in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta Province

Background: Since the tuberculosis (TB) disease in children constitutes a global health problem that has long been
neglected, this study sought to predict socioeconomic factors as public-health determinants that could protect children who were exposed to TB in their household. Method: A case-control study of 132 children (under 14 years old) who shared their household with adults suffering from pulmonary TB was conducted in the Province of Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. This study consisted of an interview and anthropometry measurement for the controls screening test, while the cases were monitored by pediatricians with a scoring system childhood TB diagnosis from the secondary hospital database. A multiple logistic regression was used to analyze the results. Results: A healthy housing condition, predicted by a naturally illuminated luminary bedroom prevented the incidence of the childhood TB disease (p = 0.043) even if exposed to adult TB in their environment (p = 0.775). Conclusions: Healthy housing factors with good sunlight protected children especially at the early stage, when there were active pulmonary TB adult household contacts. Ventilation and morning sunlight facilitated air circulation, vitality and the body’s immune system towards TB protection.
