Dalam paper ini penulis berusaha membandingkan peran dari dua organisasi Islam di Inggris yaitu Jama’at-i Islami (JI) dan Hizbut Tahrir (HT) terkait dengan gagasan integrasi, isolasi dan resistensi Muslim, terhadap budaya masyarakat Inggris. Penulis menganalisis persamaan dan perbedaan yang dimiliki dua organisasi ini dalam pola dan pendekatan pergerakan keislaman mereka dalam menyikapi gagasan-gagasan di atas. Bagi organisasi-organisasi yang berafiliasi ke JI, Muslim di Inggris bisa menjadi “British Muslims” yang mengamalkan komitmen-komitmen keislaman mereka dan nilai-nilai modern negara Inggris secara bersamaan, sedangkan bagi HT, Muslim di Negara sekuler seperti Inggris harus memilih untuk menjadi Muslims atau British. HT berpandangan bahwa nilai-nilai modern di Negara sekuler adalah bertentangan dengan ajaran Islam. Perbedaan ini adahalhasil interaksi nilai dan komitmen keislaman mereka dengan faktor-faktor sosial yang ada di Inggris. Penulis berpendapat bahwa kedua organisasi ini memiliki perbedaan dalam pola pergerakan keislaman, namun keduanya memberikan kontribusi terhadap perkembangan Islam di Inggris.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui karaktcristik pasien Fluor Albus (FA) yang datang bcrobat ke RSCM, mengetahui etiologi yang tersering pada FA, mengetahui hubungan manifestasi kliiiik/keluhan dengan etiologi FA, mengetahui perbedaan pola pengobatan FA oleli dokter dari Departemeu Obstetri Cinekologi dan Departemen llmu Penyakit Kulit kehimin, mengetaliui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pengobatan FA, mengetahui tingkat kesesuaian pengobatan dengan standar terapi yang ada. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan studi deskriptif dan analitik dengan pengambilan data secara retrospektif. Hasil menunjukkan bahiva penyakit flu or albus ditemukan pada 7 7,6% pusicn karena tertiilar melalui hubungan seksual dan 82,4% pasien pada klinik obstetrik-giuekologi. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahzoa penyakit FA bauyak terjadi pada penderita kelompok umur reproduktif. Pekerjaan umumnya sebagai ibu rumah tangga (IRT), dengan status marital menikah. Keluhan yang banyak diberikan adalah gatal, dull tidak berbau atau berban asam, dull berwarna putih kuning dan kental. Penyebab FA terbanyak adalah Kandidiasis vaginalis. Terdapat hubungan bermakna antara keluhan/manifestasi klinik dengan FA. Hubungan bermakna ini terlihnt pada FA yang disebabkan oleli kandidiasis zmginalis dan bakteriosis vaginalis. Terdapat perbedaan pola pengobatan FA berdasarkan etiologi (kandidiasis dan bakteriosis) antara dokter dari Departemen Obstetri Cinekologi dan Departemen llmu Penyakit Kulit kelamin. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pola pengobatan FA oleli dokter Departemen Obstetri Cinekologi dan llmu Penyakit Kulit kelamin adalah: faktor keluhan, etiologi, faktor nsiko, dan penyakit penyerta. Faktorumur pekerjaan dan status marital secara statistik, tidak memiliki hubungan yang bermakna. Tingkat kesesuaian antara pengobatan dengan standar terapi obat untuk FA di RSCM cukup rendah, dimana sebagian besar pasien diobati secara empiris

Integration of Reciprocal Teaching-ICT Model To Improve Students’Mathematics Critical Thinking Ability

This research examines the effectiveness on how mathematics teachers have begun to integrate
information and communication technology (ICT) with reciprocal teaching model to improve students’
mathematics critical thinking ability into seventh junior high school classroom practice. This study was
experimental research with a quasi-experimental design. The samples of the study are 36 students for classroom
experiments and 36 students for classroom control. The instruments employed in this study were pre-test and
post-test. All the instruments are made in essays forms. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics.
Based on the research findings, it was gotten that (1) the development of teaching instructional multimedia of
the seven grade students of junior high school; (2) the improvement of students’ mathematics critical thinking
ability in experimental class; (3) the aspect of attractiveness shows that the developed instructional multimedia was very interesting; and (4) reciprocal learning has good impact on students’ mathematics critical thinking ability.

The excessive administration of antibiotics betalactame. especially third generation
cephalosporin widely for the treatment of infections in hospital was thought to be one
factor contributing to infection by bacteria Extented-Spectrum-Betalactamase (ESBL).
In hospital Persahabatan known that many third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic
used for the treatment of hospitalized patients. This study aimed to determine the effect
of beta-lactam antibiotics against infection by the emergence of ESBL-producing
bacteria at Persahabatan hospital Jakarta period January to March. 2013. This study was
case control study.involving patients with ESBL positive as case group and ESBL
negative as control group. Historical use of antibiotics during hospitalization in
Persahabatan traced in medical records retrospectively. Data were analyzed using chisquare
test
or
fisher
exact
test
followed
by
odd
ratio
calculation
and
calculate
the
DDD

(Defined
Daily
Dose)
to
determine
the
quantity
administration
of
antibiotic
betalactame.

A

total of 100 patients.50 patients are included into the case group and 50 into the
control group. Bivariate analysis showed that a history of antibiotic Betalactame use in
general (p = 0.357) was not a factor influencing the emergence of infections by ESBLproducing

bacteria. Historical administration of ceftriaxone (third-generation
cephalosporin) (p = 0.016. OR = 2.705. 95% CI = 1.197 to 6.113) were factors that
influence the emergence of infections by ESBL producing bacteria.

Muslims in Britain: questioning Islamic and national identity

Islamic identity has been a central issue since the emergence of Islam in the seventh century. Muslims have been interacted with many symbols of religious identity since this early time of Islam. Every generation of Muslims has their own way to show their religious identity. Muslims in Britain are also still continuing to search for religious identity. They seek to re-evaluate their identity and construct a sense of what it means to be a Muslim in Britain today. This article would like to elaborate several discussions on Muslims’ identities in Britain. There are two different opinions on this issue. The first opinion comes from Muslims who believe that a Muslim individual should choose to be either a Muslim or a British. They argue that national values differ from religious norms. The second, however, states that one Muslim can be both a Muslim and a British at the same time. For them, there is no contradiction between being a Muslim and being a British citizen. They argue that nationality and faith can be combined in Muslim individuals who live in Britain.

Developing Native-Like Listening Comprehension Materials:Teachers’ and Pupils’ Perceptions of a Digital Approach

This paper reported the attempt teachers did in developing native-like (NLS) listening materials for their EFL learners using a text-to-speech (TTS) technology. Observation was carried out to record teachers’ procedures for developing NLS materials. Interview with teachers were undertaken to explore their’ perceptions towards the NLS listening materials and the benefits they gained from developing instructional media using technology. In addition, a questionnaire was distributed to 65 eight-grade pupils to gather information related to their opinions regarding the listening materials developed and used by their teachers. The findings show that teachers and pupils responded positively towards the NLS materials for listening comprehension. In addition, teachers were found to have more confidence in teaching listening skill while using the technology. There are three conditions which endorse this teaching confidence: the suitability of instructional materials used with the learning curriculum and pupils’ level of English proficiency, teachers’ self-efficacy to the teaching task, and the integration of technology in classroom teaching. The study suggests that TTS system can be used as computer assisted language learning (CALL) application particularly in the development of listening comprehension materials. The study also confirms earlier studies that teacher professional development can be promoted through integrated training on technology for classroom use.

This research aims to understand the result of mathematical learning of Class IV student in elementary school.
(1) Discovering the influence of the Contextual Approach to the student’s motivation.
(2) Discovering whether the Contextual Approach can increase student’s motivation by equalizing the denominator for the class IV students. The Research uses descriptive method by using inferential statistical analysis
technique. “Descriptive method is a method that focuses to solving current and actual issues. Inferential statistical technique is a statistical method to analyses sample data and creating general inference for the population.”
(Nisfiannoor, 2009:4). The approach used by the research is the quantitative approach. Quantitative approach is a research approach that uses statistical technique to test hypotheses and research instrument to be used to uncover data in a certain measurement scale, to be able to create a generalized statement for the whole population.
(Sudjana and Ibrahim, 2004:8). There are several conclusions to be inferred from the result of the research. From the cyclical analysis, the improvement of the learning capacity was successfully implemented in the cycle I, cycle II, or even cycle III. Cycle I experienced an increase in average class scores from 42 to 72. Cycle II also experienced increasing from 72 to 81. While Cycle III experienced increasing from 81 to 83. The increases in scores are due to the improvement in the teacher’s teaching method by implementing contextual approach. The approach ultimately increases the students’ enjoyment of the learning, leading to an increase in the motivation for learning, therefore increasing the result of the learning itself. If the learning result improves, the quality of the education in the school also improves.
