Penelitian ini bertujuan merumuskan model pengembangan sistemik program pendidikan Al–Islam dan Kemuhammadiyahan
yang sesuai dengan Misi Muhammadiyah dengan mengsinergikkan organisasi dan lembaga pendukung yang terdiri dari; Ikatan
Mahasiswa Muhammadiyah(IMM) dan Amal usaha Muhammadiyah (AUM) sebagai sistem pengembangan kader Muhammadiyah
melalui perguruan tinggi Muhammadiyah (PTM). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus, teknik
pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan melalui presentasi dan
deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian difokuskan pada pengkajian dan analisis program pendidikan Al-Islam dan
Kemuhammadiyahan yang dilaksanakan pada Akademi Kebidanan Muhammadiyah-RSI Jakarta, kemudian mendeskripsikan dan
menganalisis nilai-nilai Kemuhammadiyahan yang sesuai dengan Misi Muhammadiyah dan juga peranan organisasi dan lembaga
yang mendukung langsung pelaksanaan program pendidikan Al–Islam dan Kemuhammadiyahan di PTM.

KONSEP INTEGRASI ILMU DALAM AL-QURAN

The concept of integration of science in al-Quran is a comprehensive scientific paradigm. Al-Quran in this context is the axis of science that became the point of departure once the basic postulates of the various branches of science. Integrating this knowledge can be reached in several ways. First, the Islamization of science, which attempts to evaluate, revise and modify the Western science-Secular through the viewpoint of values and teachings of Islam. Second, “ilmuisasi Islam”, that attempts to interpret the source of doctrine or discipline of Islamic viewpoint rationally and empirically that Islamic teachings can be received objectively by everyone. Integration of science in the al-Quran can be seen through several aspects, namely: first, aspect ontology / nature and subject matter of science. In this aspect, al-Quran integrates object between the materials science of concrete (al-present) and the non-material (al-unseen). Second, aspects of how to get it (epistemology). In this aspect, the al-Quran integrates positivistic methods (empiricism and rationalism) with the intuitive method and revelation. Third, aspects of axiology / use value and purpose of science. According to al-Quran, it is not a value-free science, even had possessed and favoring certain value, which is to create a benefit for mankind and the universe.

This paper purposely explains the correlation between science and civilization in the perspective Ibn Khaldun. The major source the writer refers in this paper is “Muqadimah Ibn Khaldun” a monumental work of Ibn Khaldun. According to Ibn Khaldun, the main factor underlying the building of a civilization is science. Science and teaching is the basic human nature. Teaching and learning process comes from the desire and curiosity of human as their natural essence. This process finally demands society to manage their livelihood to create a better civilization. Science development has found the basic principles to build better livelihood. The correlation of science and civilization is absolute. Science is the maj< axis of civilization. This research is aimed at acknowledging the concept and implementation of charactereducation in the Prof. DR. HAMKA (UHAMKA) Muhammadiyah University, Jakarta. As a university under the Muhammadiyah, character education is the main objective of the education implemented in UHAMKA. This research is a qualitative research In this context, the researcher is the main instrument collecting and interpreting the existing data. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with a number of UHAMKA key informants and written documents related to character education. The research results show that UHAMKA has developed a character education model through the AIKA curriculum. This AIKA curriculum has been formulated in such a manner with systematic management from the aspects of policies, contents and organization so that it can be referred to as a model. However, the application of the AIKA curriculum has not reached the expected target. There are many things that must be reformed in order to achieve the objective of character education in UHAMKA especially those related to the relatively cognitive material contents and learning method.

Aqidah atau keimanan merupakan bagian terpenting dalam ajaran Islam. Jika ajaran Islam ini diumpamakan jasad, maka iman adalah ruhnya. Ia adalah jantung yang memompa darah kehidupan ke sekujur badan. Demikian halnya dengan keimanan. Dialah yang menjadi ruh ajaran Islam. Berdasarkan imanlah seseorang akan dinilai di hadapan Allah. Pada gilirannya, imanlah yang akan mengontrol dan mengarahkan perilaku seorang Mukmin. Bahkan, shalat, haji, puasa, dan seluruh amal baik tak ada gunanya tanpa adanya keimanan.

Muhammadiyah, sejak awal didirikannya, telah menjadikan pendidikan sebagai trade mark perjuangannya. KH. Ahmad Dahlan (Kiai Dahlan), pendiri organisasi ini, sangat memahami bahwa dengan pendidikanlah masyarakat Indonesia dapat bangkit dari keterpurukan. Merealisasikan ide progresif ini, Kiai Dahlan kemudian merombak ruang tamu rumahnya menjadi sebuah ruang kelas.1 Dari ruang kecil inilah awal mula lahirnya Amal Usaha2 Muhammadiyah di bidang pendidikan yang di kemdian hari berkembang beratus bahkan beribu Amal Usaha di seluruh penjuru tanah air. Rintisan Kiai Dahlan ini di kemudian hari terus bcrkembang seiring dengan berkembangnya cabang-cabang Muhammadiyah di seantcro Indonesia. Hingga saat ini, di usianya yang telah mencapai satu abad, Muhammadiyah telah memiliki 1132 Sekolah Dasar, 1769 Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, 1184 Sekolah Menengah Pcrtama, 534 Madrasah Tsanawiyah, 511 Sekolah Menengah Alas, 263 Sekolah Menengah Kcjuruan, 172 Madrasah Aliyah, 67 Pondok Pesantren, 55 Akademi, 4 Politeknik, 70 Sekolah Tinggi dan 36 Univcrsitas yang tersebar di seluruh Indonesia. Data ini menjadi salah satu bukti nyata kontribusi Muhammadiyah untuk bangsa Indonesia pada khususnya dan untuk kemanusiaan secara luas yang sekaligus menjadikan Muhammadiyah sebagai organisasi sosial-kemasyarakat dan basis organisasi masyarakat sipil (civil society) terbesar dan terkuat di dunia dengan dukungan sumberdaya daya struktur organisasi yang mapan.

Di alam demokratis, ide “kesetaraaan” semakin menemukan indung semangnya. Betapa hebatdan luarbiasanya kalimat ini sehingga seolah-olah tak seorang pun dapat menentangnya. Sebab, prinsip kesetaraan ini bukan hanya selaras dengan nilai-nilai Hak Asasi Manusia (HAM), namun juga senapas dengan nilai-nilai agama (religious value) dan visi kenabian (prophetic vision). Kalau mau dirujuk ke dunia Barat,1 sesungguhnya benih keseteraan dan nilai-nilai HAM ini sudah mulai disemai sejak abad pencerahan (renaisance), sebuah fase di mana Barat bangun dari tidur gelapnya (the dark age). Masa-masa sebelumnya, dunia Barat didominasi oleh doktrin gereja yang sangat absolut dan non manusiawi (unhuman).Barat terus merangkak menuju masa yang lebih manusiawi. Sejarah mencatat, benih kemanusiaan (humanism) ala Barat ini menyiratkan traumatis mendalam terhadap agama. Humanisme Barat merupakan nalar kemanusiaan yang mendasarkan dirinya pada nilai-nilai materialis-antroposentris. Hasilnya, humanisme Barat kering dari sentuhan agama dan menempatkannya ke dalam sudut privasi. Agama menjadi perilaku subyektif yangtidak boleh dikaitkan, apalagi mengurusi domain publik (baca: sekulerisme). Masa-masaselanjutya adalah sebuah fase yang menggairahkan di mana hak asasi dan martabat kemanusiaan mendapatkan apresiasi positif di alam demokrasi. Sekarang tak ada lagi perbedaan yang mencolok antara penguasa dan rakyat. Semua orang berhak berbicara, menyampaikan pendapat yang berbeda, dan mendapatkan perlakuan yang sama.

Differences between quadratic equations and functions: Indonesian pre-service secondary mathematics teachers’ views

Difference between quadratic equation and quadratic function as perceived by Indonesian pre-service secondary mathematics teachers (N = 55) who enrolled at one private university in Jakarta City was investigated. Analysis of participants’ written responses and interviews were conducted consecutively. Participants’ written responses highlighted differences between quadratic equation and function by referring to their general terms, main characteristics, processes, and geometrical aspects. However, they showed several obstacles in describing the differences such as inappropriate constraints and improper interpretations. Implications of the study are discussed.

Potential characteristics that relate to teachers mathematics-related beliefs

A characteristic of the persons was very potential to affect the beliefs they held. This study examines whether there was a significant difference between the beliefs factors with characteristics such as gender, teaching experience, certification status, and grade level assignments. There were 325 primary school teachers in East Jakarta who participated in this research. MANOVA was applied to analyze the data. The findings of this study indicate that only on teaching experience, there was a significant difference between the beliefs held by the teachers, i.e. teachers who have 11-20 years teaching experience were more likely to think absolute than constructivism. Moreover, there was no difference between each belief they held with the other characteristics.
