UJI AKTIVITAS EKSTRAK ETANOL DAN EKSTRAK ETIL ASETAT
DAUN SIRIH MERAH (Piper cf. fragile. Benth ) TERHADAP PENYEMBUHAN LUKA TERBUKA PADA TIKUS

Luka terbuka adalah luka yang melibatkan robekan pada kulit atau membran mukosa. Apabila terjadi luka dan diabaikan, maka dapat terjadi infeksi. Tanaman obat yang telah diteliti dan dimanfaatkan untuk penyembuhan luka terbuka salah satunya adalah daun sirih merah (Piper cf. fragile, Benth). Penelitian ini akan mengkaji pengaruh ekstrak etanol dan etil asetat daun sirih merah dalam proses penyembuhan luka pada tikus. Hewan coba dibagi menjadi 8 kelompok yaitu kelompok positif (povidon iodine 10%), negatif, 3 kelompok perlakuan ekstrak etanol daun sirih merah masing-masing dengan konsentrasi 15%, 20% dan 25% serta 3 kelompok perlakuan ekstrak etil asetat konsentrasi 15%, 20% dan 25%. Luka terbuka dibuat dengan menggunakan metode Morton yang telah dimodifikasi yaitu tikus dicukur bulunya di daerah punggung bagian atas kemudian dibius dengan ketamine pada saat akan dibuat luka berbentuk lingkaran dengan diameter 2 cm. Pemberian ekstrak etanol dan etil asetat daun sirih merah diberikan sekali sehari dengan cara menggunakan syringe sebanyak 0,5 mL/200 g BB tikus. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa kelompok ekstrak etanol lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kelompok ekstrak etil asetat dalam menyembuhkan luka terbuka pada tikus.

The Potency of Vanilla Pasta As The Source of Halal and Natural Flavor

Vanilla pasta can be produced from different compositions of vanilla extract, sweetener, stabilizer, and thickener added with seeds of vanilla bean. The best composition is the one which contains pectin 2%, CMC 0,5%, 5 ml glucose, and 10 ml half-dry vanilla extract which has been evaporated. Another thing that distinguishes this product with the existing product flavor is the use of natural vanilla extract which has undergone evaporation to an alcohol content of up to 1%, which is very beneficial for the provision of hala! flavor. Regarding the physical quality, this vanilla pasta of this composition is almost the same as of the commercial product. Regarding the purity of a product, this composition is better than of the commercial product because it docs not contain ethyl vanillin. Thus, the vanilla pasta of this composition has great potency as the source of halal and natural flavor.

Multiple intelligence assessment in teaching English for young learners

There are many schools in Indonesia that provide English as one of their subjects. English has been taught from elementary schools, even in Kindergarten. Ironically, teaching English in most rural schools still uses a conventional method such as memorizing and translating. Many teachers cannot afford to provide well-designed, meaningful exercises for students to use on a one-to-one learning basis. As a result, students seem not having interest in learning English. Based on this reason, this study was conducted to identify students’ intelligence through Multiple Intelligence Assessment to get effective approach in teaching English for young learners. The participants are an English teacher and students at an early childhood education center. This research focuses on presenting a deep description of the Multiple-Intelligence assessment to identify students’ intelligence in order to get an effective way of teaching English for young learners. In collecting the data, three instruments were used: observation, interview, and document analysis. The findings of this study show that students have different interests and nature; some students love singing, some others enjoy drawing, and others like role-playing. Multiple-Intelligence Assessment helps the teachers to identify students’ interests and bring them building some learning activities to attract them in learning English.

Pengaruh Word Of Mouth, Brand Image Dan Lifestyle
Terhadap Keputusan Pembelian Konsumen

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh word of mouth, brand image
dan lifestyle terhadap keputusan pembelian. Data yang diambil data primer yang
dikumpulkan dari 100 responden dan data sekunder yang diperoleh melalui bukubuku atau literatur yang berkaitan dengan penelitian ini. Teknik pengambilan
sampel menggunakan teknik non probability sampling atau dengan metode
sampling aksidential. Hasil dari studi ini menyatakan bahwa word of mouth,
brand image dan lifestyle berpengaruh secara simultan terhadap keputusan
pembelian

CHAOS, MORAL DECADENCE, AND BETRAYAL (SATIRE IN “DI TEPI KALI BEKASI” NOVEL BY PRAMOEDYA ANANTA TOER)

Indonesian revolution in 1945-1949 is a remarkable moment for all of Indonesian people which is full of heroic spirit. Interestingly, Pramoedya portrayed the revolution moment in the novel entitled “Di Tepi Kali Bekasi” with different point of view in which he used a sarcasm style of language to depicts the conditions and deliver his critics about behaviors of people from various clusters at that time. Therefore, this current study is motivated by interest to explore how satirical narrative is used in the novel. A qualitative content analysis with context unit was employed as a research method to describe and analyze in detail the description and characteristics of satire in the novel. Specifically, a concept of satire intended in this study is sarcasm, social criticism, and irony. Based on the results of analysis, there are some satirical elements in the novel namely social chaos, public unrest, bandits and robbery, betrayal, generation conflicts, youth nationalism, and immoral behavior and corruption of the army. In addition, according to Pramoedya’s view, revolution is considered as an animalistic age where the revolution of soul is more important and needed by the nation instead of the armed revolution. Due to those facts, independence remains as a fake independence where unheard voice of the periphery and moral destruction are still the main problem. Generally, it is found that the satirical root in the novel is laid on two things namely Pramoedya’s direct experience as a soldier and his ideas he wants to convey in the novel.

Success Factors in Triple Helix Coordination:
Small-Medium Sized Enterprises in Western Java

Triple helix model is a model of a knowledge-based economy, which collaborates
with the university, business, and government sectors to help small and medium enterprises
(SMEs) boost their business. The issue is the three actors have not yet synergized optimally in
the development of SMEs. Hence, this study was to identify the critical success factors of the
triple helix model for SMEs. This study employed a meta-ethnography and factor analysis
to obtain components and indicators of the success factors. The result showed that 37 items
of critical success factors have good content validity and excellent homogeneity reliability.
Based on these success factors, a triple helix model consisting of six stages has developed. It
indicates that these critical success factors make an essential contribution to the development
and success of SMEs to achieve the goal of the program.

Abstrak
Model triple helix adalah model ekonomi berbasis pengetahuan, yang merupakan
kerja sama tiga sektor yaitu universitas, bisnis dan pemerintah untuk membantu usaha kecil
dan menengah (UKM) meningkatkan usaha mereka. Permasalahan yang muncul ialah
belum sinerginya ketiga pelaku secara optimal dalam pengembangan UKM. Oleh karena
itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor penentu keberhasilan model
triple helix untuk usaha kecil dan menengah. Penelitian ini menggunakan meta-etnografi
dan proses hirarki analitis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 37 item faktor penentu
keberhasilan memiliki validitas konten yang baik dan reliabilitas homogenitas yang baik.
Berdasarkan faktor-faktor keberhasilan ini, model triple helix yang terdiri dari 6 tahap
telah dikembangkan yang akan diuji pada pemangku kepentingan triple helix dan UKM
di wilayah Banten dan Bandung untuk mendukung penerimaan dan standarisasi model.
Faktor-faktor kesuksesan kritis ini memberikan kontribusi penting untuk pengembangan
dan keberhasilan UKM untuk mencapai tujuan program.

Acute Oral Toxicity Test of Nicotiana tabacum L. Bio-Oil
Against Female Winstar Rats

Tobacco plants are notably known for its pesticidal properties, particularly due to its
nicotine content. In this study, Nicotiana tabacum L. bio-oil was obtained using pyrolysis
technique. The safety of the bio-oil to be used as bioinsecticide was analyzed through acute oral
toxicity test by administering 5000 mg bio-oil/kg body weight of female winstar rats that were
analogous to humans. It was concluded that the bio-oil was not toxic due to absence of mortality
and no significant change in the body weight and behavior of the rats.

The Influence Of Leadership And Performance On The Motivation Of Participants Education And Training

Participants education and training at Human Resource Development Centre of Transport Apparatus became the object of research to take the extent of the condition of leadership and performance effect on there work unit participants education and training and by SPSS through linear regression analysis showed that: Partially t-test results showed that the leadership (X1) had a strong and significant influence on employee performance (Y), for t > ttable was 4.829 > 1.96. Similarly, the X2 form of motivation showed tcount > ttable was 6.639> 1.96. The independent variable X1 (Leadership) and X2 (performance) simultaneously tested by F test strong and significant influence on the dependent variable Y (Performance Officer), since Fcount > Ftable (614.059 > 3.07). The resulted of regression equation Y = 2.254 + 0.411 X1 + 0.541 X2. The diversity of variable Y was influenced by the diversity of variables X1 and X2 for the remaining 91.7% 8.3% influenced by other factors. This was due to factors leadership and performance indispensable and always needed to obtain an increase motivation of participants education and training.
